Master of Music Therapy (MMT) |

The course is
designed for
Musicians wishing to use
their skills therapeutically. Applicants should be preferably age 25
years or over and have:

A first degree or
diploma (not necessarily in music)
-
A high level of skill
on your first instrument (approx Grade 8)
-
A good standard of
keyboard skills, including keyboard harmony
-
Written and spoken
proficiency in English

Learning Objectives |
The course focuses on
developing a high level of skill in five core areas:
Musical - development of each student's musical skill from a musician to
music therapist
Clinical - learning to use music skills in a clinical setting, to build
relationships and enable therapeutic work to take place
Personal - fosters your development as a therapist
Academic - reading, critical thinking and writing; introduction to
theory and practice of related disciplines
Professional - communication and relationships with fellow professionals
